We are now looking for an INVESTOR RELATIONS MANAGER to join our dynamic Investor Relations and Sustainability team in Sanoma’s headquarters, Helsinki. In this role you will report to the Head of Investor Relations and Sustainability.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Investor Relations Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing Sanoma’s investor relations strategy and communicating our equity story. You will work closely with Sanoma’s top management and other business leaders in delivering sustainable shareholder value. In this role, you get a chance to gain understanding not only on Sanoma’s strategy and business model as a leading European K12 learning company and a leading cross-media company in Finland, but also on global capital markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial reporting and analysis: Participating in preparing and developing interim reports, year-end reports, stock exchange and financial press releases, investor presentations, Q&As, IR content at Sanoma.com and other IR materials; analysis of Sanoma’s financials and estimates to the management
- Communicating strategy: Developing and communicating Sanoma’s Investor Relations story together with the Head of IR and Sustainability
- Stakeholder engagement: Participating in investor meetings together with the management and/or the Head of IR, proactive communications with analysts and investors, active networking and coordination with internal and external stakeholders; participating in arranging e.g. Capital Markets Days and General Meetings
- Reporting & feedback: Developing and preparing investor feedback and perceptions to the executive management and the Board; supporting in publishing releases and updating content at Sanoma.com
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is deeply interested in investor relations, financials and Sanoma’s strategy. To succeed in this role, you must be proactive, capable to navigate in complex landscapes and an efficient communicator.
Key requirements include:
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in investor relations, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field; experience within a publicly traded company is a clear plus
- Financial acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, and capital markets. Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English
- Attention to detail: High level of attention to detail, especially when dealing with financial data and regulatory requirements
- Hands-on way of working: Driving things forward independently and ability to prioritise
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Integrity and discretion: High ethical standards, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Readiness to travel
