Sampo plc is looking for an Investor Relations Specialist

Would you like to work with making the Investor Relations team of one of the most valuable companies listed on Nasdaq Helsinki run like clockwork? If yes, Sampo plc is looking for an ambitious IR specialist to support the IR team at the Group head office in Helsinki. 

About the role

As an IR Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting Sampo Group’s IR team in delivering essential processes and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the development of the Group’s IR story and messaging, preparing financial reports, and creating materials such as investor presentations and Q&A documents. You will also be instrumental in organising key IR events, including capital markets days, analyst days, and the Annual General Meeting.

You will assist in drafting stock exchange releases, gathering consensus data, and conducting financial analysis. Additionally, you will maintain internal IR materials and databases and update IR content on sampo.com. Collaboration is central to this role, involving coordination with internal teams across Sampo Group.

About the team

As an IR Specialist you will be part of Sampo’s IR team and work closely with other IR and Communications team members in Helsinki and Stockholm. The team currently consists of four senior level IR and media professionals and five communications experts. 

The IR team is responsible for all the investor relations related events and materials in Sampo Group, spanning a large share of external reporting, and provides support and expertise in the IR area to other parts of the Sampo Group. The team is regularly engaged in key group projects with a strategic or external communications perspective.

Who are you?

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic individual with a proactive approach to driving projects forward. You possess a numerate and analytical mindset and are an effective and clear communicator. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently are essential.

While prior experience in Investor Relations or working within a publicly listed company in the Nordics is advantageous, it is not essential. 

As part of Sampo’s small IR team, you will need to take ownership of your role, contribute to improving the team’s ways of working, and perform well in a fast-paced environment. 

You also have

  • University degree in quantitative field, such as finance, economics, science, maths or other similar field
  • Some years of work experience within finance, IR, investments, or the insurance industry
  • An interest in capital markets and investments
  • Ability to work fluently in English and Finnish, Swedish skills are seen as an advantage
  • An understanding of the P&C insurance industry would be a bonus.

Position: Permanent & full-time

Location: Helsinki, Fabianinkatu 

Start-date: By agreement, but during 2025

Travelling: some travelling within Nordics, UK and Baltics is required
